Workers' Radiation Safety Proposal Requested from Commission for Development of Directive on Risk Prevention in Radiation Exposure

In the heart of Wiesbaden, the Rhine-Main transport association is implementing temporary changes to bus routes due to a traffic trial on the banks of the Rhine at Biebrich. Here's a breakdown of the key rerouting details for ESWE-Verkehr bus lines.

For starters, the interactive network plan at www.netzplan-ourwebsite.de provides an overview of all rerouting announcements. As of now, lines 3, 6, 33, and 49 have been rerouted and will head towards Biebrich, Mainz, Kostheim, and Bierstadt.

Lines 22 and 27 (Direction: Oberjosbach / HSK / August-Bebel-Straße) have been adjusted as well. They will now travel from the "Brunhildenstraße" stop, continue via Siegfriedring and Hasengartenstraße to the replacement stop in Weidenbornstraße, and then return to the regular route. Noteworthy, these lines will no longer serve the Vocational School Center, ending at the "Brunhildenstraße" stop instead.

Lines 16, 28, 37, and 45 (Direction: South Cemetery, Mainz, Nordenstadt, Raiffeisenplatz) have also been affected. They will reroute from "Main Station A" via Salzbachstraße, Gartenfeldstraße, Mainzer Straße, Welfenstraße, Weidenbornstraße, Brunhildenstraße, and Gustav-Stresemann-Ring to the regular route.

Lines 22 and 27 (Destination: Leisure Pool) have also been rerouted from "Main Station A" via Salzbachstraße, Gartenfeldstraße, Mainzer Straße, Weidenbornstraße, and Hasengartenstraße back to the regular route. Line 27 will run parallel with Line 33 (Trips via Brunhildenstraße) to Hasengartenstraße, then return to the regular route via Hasengartenstraße.

Elsewhere, lines 9 and 14 are rerouted due to the traffic trial in Biebrich. Line 14's route in Albert-Schweitzer-Allee is reversed, with passengers traveling toward the city center using stops on the east side instead of the usual west side. Additionally, the "Schloss Biebrich" stop will not be served during this period. The one-way street "Am Schlosspark" has its direction reversed, with the exit toward Mainstraße opened, to facilitate logistics for events at Biebrich Palace and enforce traffic regulations.

From August 15 to 22, notable detours and closures affecting several lines have been reported on ESWE-Verkehr's website. This includes a closure on Rheingaustraße impacting lines 9, 14, and N3 (night bus), and a one-way street regulation on Adolf-Todt-Straße affecting line 9. Furthermore, from August 18, there is a new rerouting on Gustav-Stresemann-Ring affecting multiple lines (3, 6, 16, 22, 27, 28, 33, 34, 37, 45, 46, 49, N7, and school buses).

Timetable and fare information for the Rhine-Main transport association can be obtained via the hotline at (069) 24 48024. For more specific inquiries, citizens can contact the responsible department or office with any questions. The ESWE-Verkehr service telephone is available Monday to Friday from 7:00 to 18:00 and on Saturdays from 8:00 to 15:00 at (0611) 45022450.

To stay updated on the latest travel planning, ESWE-Verkehr’s interactive map and traffic news are recommended. The up-to-date rerouting details focus on lines 9 and 14 being rerouted due to the traffic trial in Biebrich, with additional detours on major streets including Rheingaustraße and Gustav-Stresemann-Ring affecting multiple lines around mid-August 2025.

  1. Amid the traffic trial on the Rhine's banks in Biebrich, the science sector, particularly the health-and-wellness industry, may experience challenges with transportation to facilities like the Leisure Pool due to bus line adjustments.
  2. As the Rhine-Main transport association adopts temporary changes to bus routes, the industry and finance sectors might face potential delays or increased travel time, especially during the period from August 15 to 22, when multiple lines will be affected by detours and closures.
  3. The public-transit system's adjustments, notably the rerouting of lines 22 and 27, may impact transportation for individuals seeking various therapies and treatments available in Biebrich, Mainz, Kostheim, and Bierstadt.
  4. The restructuring of bus routes by the Rhine-Main transport association, such as the rerouting of lines 9 and 14, might affect the transportation of goods and services, especially in the logistics sector, due to the one-way street regulations and closures on streets like Rheingaustraße and Gustav-Stresemann-Ring.
