Two COVID-19 Patients Die in Kazakhstan Ambulance Transfer
A tragic incident has occurred in North Kazakhstan region where two COVID-19 patients died during transport to a city hospital. The regional health insurance department has acknowledged violations during the transfer, and an investigation is ongoing to determine responsibility.
The patients were moved from the Kyzylzhar infectious hospital, which had closed. They were transported in an UAZ ambulance with six patients and a paramedic, but without an oxygen apparatus. The chief doctor of the Kyzylzhar district hospital, Alexander Kudaiberenov, made the decision to transport the patients. Unfortunately, Pavel Prityuka's mother was among those who lost their lives during the transfer.
The regional health insurance department has confirmed that those responsible may face prosecution based on the investigation's conclusions. Relatives of one deceased patient have demanded punishment for those found guilty.
