Suspicious substances found in products on the shelves of the "Svetofor" stores by Rosseльхоznadzor
Research reveals some shocking truths about certain products on your grocery shelves. Vanilla plaster from "First Line" and "Sverdlovskiiy" eggs, and creamy butter from "Ru.Milk" might contain prohibited antibiotics. Oh yeah, and in another plaster from "Hlaadkombinat No3" and "Sverdlovskiiy" butter, there's been a discovery of vegetable fats.
Since these goods don't meet the safety standards, they'll be yanked off the shelves, reports the Ural department of Rosselehoznadzor.
Back in February, Rosselehoznadzor conducted a thorough investigation of all 74 stores in the "Svetofor" chain across Sverdlovsk region and uncovered sanitary law violations. Out of the 185 samples analyzed, they found 38 instances of subpar raw materials. Specialists took 24 tons of questionable goods and 35,000 non-edible items off the shelves. The management of these stores received violation reports based on articles of the Russian Code of Administrative Offences, which can result in fines up to 1 million rubles and potential closure of establishments for 90 days.
