Serious Accident on SR 1100: Smart Car Driver Hospitalized
A serious traffic accident occurred on State Road 1100 in Marbach am Neckar on Thursday, November 28, 2024. The incident involved a Ford car and another vehicle, causing significant damage and disrupting traffic for several hours.
The accident happened around 12:55 PM when a 58-year-old driver of a Ford car lost control of the vehicle. The Ford veered into oncoming traffic while driving towards Murr. The driver then collided with a guardrail before coming to a stop. The impact caused approximately 11,000 euros in total damage.
A 45-year-old Porsche driver managed to swerve in time, resulting in only a minor collision. The Ford driver was taken to a hospital, and her vehicle was towed away. The police regulated traffic on state road 1100 during the investigation, which was completed by around 3:30 PM.
The accident was likely due to a medical emergency involving the 58-year-old Ford driver. The police have not explicitly named the head of the Ludwigsburg Police Headquarters in connection with this incident, as the information available predates the known tenure of Achim Böskens, who took over the post in August 2025.
