Ingolstadt - The Blood Donation Service of the Bavarian Red Cross (BSD) celebrated 187 exceptional blood donors from Upper Bavaria at the 31st Health Day in Fürstenfeld for their impressive donation history. Among them were five donors from Ingolstadt, who have collectively given between 75 and 175 blood donations.

Firat Avutan, district manager of the Bavarian Red Cross (BRC) Ingolstadt, underscored the significance of blood donation for Bavaria's supply during the ceremony. He lauded the long-term donation dedication of the participants from Ingolstadt and expressed gratitude for their extraordinary involvement.

Michael Sporer, BR moderator, guided the exclusive event, while blood donation ambassadors Gela Allmann and handball legend Dominik Klein graced the stage. BSD director Georg Goetz highlighted the jubilarians' enduring loyalty and their indispensable role in Bavaria's patient care in his speech.

Following the formal awards presentation by the hosting BSD directors Georg Goetz and Prof. Dr. Seltsam, along with representatives from the BRC district associations, comedian Chris Boettcher closed the event with a humorous performance.
