Speeding Crackdown in Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis District

On September 14, 2025, the Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis police conducted a special operation named "Netzwerk Krad" to enforce traffic laws and ensure road safety. The controls, which took place between 08:00 and 16:00, were carried out in various towns within the district.

During the operation, a total of 128 speeding violations were detected, with 28 of these occurring on motorcycles. The highest speeding violation was recorded in Ennepetal, L 699 "Hülsenbecker Tal", where a motorcycle rider was traveling at 97 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. For this offense, the offender was imposed a fine of 320 euros, 2 points, and a one-month driving ban.

In addition to speeding violations, 98 warning fines were issued, including one for a seatbelt violation and one for a TÜV violation. No violations or manipulations of exhaust systems were found during the noise level measurements.

The operation included controls at specific open control points and at crossroads in Sprockhövel, L699 and B483 in Ennepetal, and Eichholzstraße in Gevelsberg. In total, 30 reports were filed by the Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis police during the "Netzwerk Krad" operation.
