A local from Krasnoyarsk has raised concerns with the regional Rosseльхоznadzor over caviar they purchased that turned out to be tainted with parasites. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the product contained the larvae of unwanted critters. The caviar was produced at a facility in Sovetsky district.

The contaminated product was sold at a store in the October district. Rosseльhoz-nadzor shared distasteful details: inside the caviar were "unviable white parasites, twisted into spirals, believed to be the larvae of anisakid worms."

The product was traced using the FGIS "Mercury" system and found to have originated from a fish processing facility in Sovetsky district of the city.

They were issued a warning about violating veterinary legislation requirements. The contaminated caviar was ordered to undergo laboratory testing in the future.
