People Participate in UNICEF Family Run Event on Sunday in Dresden
On August 24, 2025, Alaunpark Dresden will host the 13th UNICEF Family Run, an exciting event open to people of all ages and abilities. The day promises to be filled with fun activities, including live music, a bouncy castle, face painting, and interactive stands, making it a perfect outing for families.
The primary aim of the event is to collect donations for children suffering from malnutrition worldwide. As of now, an alarming 149 million children are affected by hunger. Participants can choose to run and donate a self-selected amount per 400-meter lap or secure sponsorship. Completed laps are tracked via a stamped running card. Runners will also receive free refreshments to keep them energised throughout the day.
Schools, kindergartens, and clubs can use half of the collected donations for their own social projects, further extending the reach of the event's charitable efforts. Around twenty sponsors from Dresden will provide prizes for the runners.
