Optik Möller Expands Reach with Mobile Optician Service

Optik Möller, a family-owned business renowned for personal advice, craftsmanship, and customer proximity, has introduced a new service to better serve its clients - a mobile optician service. This innovative approach brings the optical business directly to clients' locations, eliminating travel and waiting associated with traditional optician visits.

Diana Möller, an optician and children's optometrist at OPTIK MOCKEL, schedules appointments and visits clients at their homes, offices, or social facilities. She is equipped with a mobile measuring system for eye tests, ensuring comprehensive eye care services can be provided in a familiar and comfortable environment.

The mobile service offers a wide range of products, including distance and reading glasses, progressive lenses, sunglasses, computer and sports glasses, as well as individual children's glasses. Clients can find more information about the mobile service on the website www.optik-moeckel.de/mobiler-optiker. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 01512 1239022 or emailing [email protected].

In line with Optik Möller's slogan "I'm where you need me," the mobile service is popular among the elderly, mobility-challenged customers, busy families, entire teams, living groups, and care facilities. Diana Möller aims to provide a relaxed glasses consultation in a familiar environment, eliminating time pressure and travel associated with traditional optician visits.

Mobile Eye Clinics and Tele-Optometry: A Global Solution for Rural Eye Care

Beyond Optik Möller's mobile service, mobile eye clinics are making a significant impact in rural and underserved areas worldwide. These well-equipped units travel to remote locations, offering full eye diagnostics and on-site glasses production.

In the United States, large mobile clinics (40 feet long) with eye exam rooms, eyewear dispensaries, and finishing labs for glasses production ensure timely care and on-site provision of eyewear, improving access in rural communities. Tele-optometry services, such as 20/20NOW, integrate digital eye care with physical retail spaces, broadening reach and convenience for rural patients.

These complementary models - mobile physical clinics and tele-optometry platforms - are critical for extending eye care access to rural and underserved populations, not just in Germany but globally. The evolution of mobile optician services is set to continue, addressing the ongoing need for accessible and comprehensive eye care in rural regions.

Science has surfaced innovative mobile solutions to ensure health-and-wellness services, including eye care, reach remote and underserved areas. Mobile eye clinics and tele-optometry platforms, such as those utilized by Optik Möller and 20/20NOW, are key to addressing the global need for accessible eye care in rural regions.
