In the face of rising energy prices, high inflation, and increased demand for social services, the Strengthening Pact NRW (Stärkungspakt NRW) is providing financial support to local governments, including those within Rhein-Kreis Neuss. This pact aims to improve social infrastructure and citizen services for residents, particularly low-income households.

One such example is the appliance exchange program in Dormagen, a municipality within Rhein-Kreis Neuss. Eligible residents with incomes up to 20% above the basic citizen allowance can exchange up to two old appliances for energy-efficient new ones by paying a co-payment of 50 euros each. This initiative is made possible by a budget of 100,000 euros from the Strengthening Pact NRW.

However, specific rules or provisions for free lake entry for recipients of SGB II (unemployment benefit II) and SGB XII (social assistance) in Rhein-Kreis Neuss or under the Strengthening Pact NRW were not identified in the available information.

It's worth noting that children up to 4 years old have free entry as usual, while children aged 5 to 11 from eligible households can be accompanied for free by an adult. A valid ID and either the Rhein-Kreis-Neuss Pass or the Neuss Pass must be shown at the lake's ticket offices as proof of eligibility.

Interestingly, the Rhein-Kreis Neuss has already received funding from the Strengthening Pact NRW, amounting to 576,576 euros. However, the free access to local lakes does not apply to the Rhein-Kreis Neuss, as it has already received funding from the pact.

Holders of a Dormagen Family Pass or a Kaarst Family Assistance Plan will also receive free entry to the local lakes. For more precise information on free lake access, it may be necessary to consult local Rhein-Kreis Neuss municipality or social service offices directly.
