Online Health Services for Medical Professionals by Neuss' Provincial Health Office
In a joint effort, the district health department, the digitalization department of Rhein-Kreis Neuss, and ITK Rheinland have established two digital application services to streamline the reporting process for non-academic healthcare professionals.
These services cater to two distinct aspects: one for reporting the opening of a practice, cessation, and changes, and another for registering and deregistering employees. Both services are designed for easy online access.
Midwives and birth attendants, who are legally obligated to report the start, changes, or cessation of their activities to the responsible health department, can find specific information about the digital application service for their profession at www.rhein-kreis-neuss.de/meldung-hebammen.
For non-academic healthcare professionals, the first digital application service is used for reporting the opening of a practice or the cessation and changes of activities. The simplest way to obtain a basic registration for Servicekonto.NRW or BundID, which are digital user accounts that allow individuals to identify themselves online towards the administration and submit applications to authorities via the internet, is through a username and password.
The second digital application service is used for registering or deregistering employees who belong to non-academic healthcare professionals and for reporting changes. A dedicated digital application service is also available for midwives and birth attendants, where they can report the start, cessation, or changes of activity, as well as submit proof of further training.
It is recommended for citizens to set up a user account with Servicekonto.NRW or a federal user account (BundID) for future services in Germany, even though it is not initially required to use the new online offer. More information about these services can be found at www.rhein-kreis-neuss.de/meldung-heilberufe.
The trust level can be increased using the online ID function, and more information on how to do so can be found at https://id.bund.de/de. The technical implementation of the digital application service for the notification obligation for non-academic health professions in Rhein-Kreis Neuss was handled by the experts at tzg, while the professional foundations were ensured in cooperation with the Health Department of Rhein-Kreis Neuss.
