The Bergisch Land Rehabilitation Clinic in Wuppertal-Ronsdorf will be hosting try-out sessions for a local square dance club on September 3rd and 10th. These events, scheduled for 7 pm each evening, are open to individuals of all ages, regardless of prior experience in square dancing.

This unique club, known for its energetic dancers and distinctive penguin mascot, has made a name for itself in the square dance scene both locally and nationally. The penguin mascot, chosen 16 years ago, is a significant part of the club's identity and is even referred to as "our website's penguins" in the square dance community.

The try-out sessions will take place in the gymnasium of the Bergisch Land Rehabilitation Clinic. This local club, which emphasizes the joy of movement over competition, offers an opportunity for individuals to join and experience the camaraderie and excitement of square dancing.

The club has a long-standing friendship with the penguins at the local Wuppertal Zoo, with occasional donations aimed at supporting the penguins. This connection to the local zoo is a unique aspect of the club and adds to its appeal.

Whether you're a seasoned dancer or a complete beginner, the try-out sessions provide a welcoming environment to learn and enjoy the art of square dancing. So, mark your calendars for September 3rd and 10th, and come join the fun at the Bergisch Land Rehabilitation Clinic in Wuppertal-Ronsdorf!
