NAMI Georgia Fundraiser Raises $240K for Mental Health Awareness
A fundraising event for NAMI Georgia was held recently at Assembly Studios in Doraville, Ga. The event, partially sponsored by Eventbrite and hosted by Blair Miller, saw a turnout of nearly a thousand attendees. It raised an impressive $240,000 for mental health awareness and support.
The event was marked by participants walking a nearly three-mile route, braving ideal weather conditions. Many carried signs, honouring loved ones who have struggled with mental health issues. NAMI Georgia's Executive Director, Kim Jones, took to the stage to stress the importance of open conversations about mental health.
The event was a resounding success, with funds raised set to make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by mental health challenges in Georgia.
