Mysterious Odor Sickens Students and Staff at Neuwied School
An incident occurred at a school complex on Langendorfer Street in Neuwied on Wednesday morning. Several individuals were affected by a strong, irritating smell in the gymnasium, leading to emergency services being called.
Around 10 AM, firefighters, emergency services, and police arrived at the scene. Several people, including three students and three staff members, complained of shortness of breath and irritation of the mucous membranes. They were subsequently taken to hospitals near me for treatment.
The source of the strong, irritating odor has not been identified. Police are currently investigating the incident, but the substance involved remains unknown. Those present in the entrance area of the gym had initially noticed the smell before it spread further.
