Model Bella Hadid, as reported, is identified by her mother Yolanda as a 'Lyme warrior,' with the model disclosing a hospitalization.
In a heartfelt post on her Instagram account, model Bella Hadid revealed her ongoing battle with Lyme disease and other chronic illnesses. Her mother, Yolanda Hadid, shared photos from Bella's recent hospital stay, offering her support as a fellow Lyme disease warrior.
Yolanda Hadid, a former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star, has been vocal about her own battle against Lyme disease, as documented in her 2017 memoir "Believe Me: My Battle With the Invisible Disability of Lyme Disease."
Lyme disease is a bacterial illness that people can contract if bitten by an infected tick. Symptoms of the disease can include joint stiffness, muscle aches and pains, fever, headache, and fatigue. If not diagnosed and treated early, it can lead to chronic or recurring symptoms.
In her apology post, Bella shared that her hospital stay in 2023 included struggles with fatigue, attention deficit disorder, memory disturbances, depression, sleep disorders, headaches, disequilibrium, nightmares, muscular weakness, chest pain, and palpitations.
Yolanda expressed her support for her daughter, stating that no child should suffer from an incurable chronic disease. She left a comment on Bella's post, calling her a "Lyme warrior." Yolanda concluded her post with words of encouragement for Bella, stating that they will continue to fight for better days together and that Bella is a survivor.
Bella's sister, model Gigi Hadid, has also shown her support for Bella during this difficult time.
Justin Timberlake has also been diagnosed with Lyme disease, highlighting the prevalence of this illness.
The photos shared by Yolanda show Bella wearing an oxygen mask and in bed with tubes hooked up to various parts of her body, offering a glimpse into the challenges she faces during her treatment.
As Bella continues to battle her illness, her openness about her struggles serves as a reminder to others who may be facing similar challenges. Her resilience and determination are an inspiration to many, and her fight against Lyme disease continues to gain support from her family, friends, and fans.
