Microsoft Collaborates with Thrive Global to Unveil Global Wellness App for Employees Worldwide

In a significant move towards prioritizing employee wellbeing, Microsoft has partnered with Thrive Global, a leading behavior change technology company founded by Arianna Huffington in 2016 [6]. The collaboration aims to integrate wellbeing into Microsoft's culture and daily routines of its global workforce, making it easy to access, personalized, and embedded into employees' work and home lives.

The partnership grants Microsoft's global workforce direct Teams access to Thrive Global's science-backed behavior change engine [2]. This engine includes Microsteps to build healthier habits, Thrive Resets to reduce stress in 60 seconds, a Wellbeing Score to help users evaluate their health and chart a personalized path to progress, and a robust content library to support further learning [1].

Thrive Global's methodology is grounded in research showing that five daily behaviors—food, movement, sleep, stress management, and connection—are the most powerful drivers of long-term health [3]. The collaboration offers tools focusing on these key areas, providing employees with a comprehensive wellbeing solution.

The kickoff campaign, Healthier Together, launched on July 15th [1]. Each subsequent month will feature a different theme reinforced by relevant webinars, coaching, and content [3]. In September, Thrive Global will power Microsoft's annual Be Well Games, a global, company-wide challenge that invites employees to team up and invest in their wellbeing together [3].

Libby Duke, the Head of Communications at Thrive Global, can be reached at [email protected] or 917-698-4993 [7].

Microsoft is committed to making AI available broadly and doing so responsibly [4]. This partnership is a testament to that commitment, as Thrive Global uses AI-powered behavior change technology [1]. The partnership also reflects Microsoft's ongoing commitment to support holistic wellbeing across its global workforce.

Thrive Global has partnered with over 200 organizations in over 160 countries, with its Microsteps being adopted by employees in these organizations [5]. The company helps individuals and organizations improve wellbeing, performance, and mental resilience.
