Klinikum Ingolstadt's Thyroid & Adrenal Event: Expert Insights & Early Diagnosis

Klinikum Ingolstadt recently hosted an information event centred around thyroid and adrenal gland diseases. This event, part of the hospital's series on visceral medicine, brought together renowned endocrine surgeons and specialists to educate and engage with the public.

The event, held last Saturday, attracted a significant number of interested individuals seeking to learn more about these conditions. Over 3,800 employees at Klinikum Ingolstadt, which treats approximately 33,000 inpatients and outpatients annually across 23 clinics and institutes, played a role in making this event a success.

Prof. Dr. Dr. Wolfgang Kühn and Prof. Dr. Markus W. Büchler, two prominent endocrine surgeons, led the event. They were joined by experts from gastroenterology, nuclear medicine, and surgery, who presented on various topics related to thyroid and adrenal gland diseases.

Prof. Markus Rentsch, Director of General, Visceral and Thoracic Surgery, stressed the importance of early diagnosis and treatment of endocrine diseases. The event also featured presentations from Prof. Dr. Chiappoini of Klinikum Rechts der Isar and Prof. Dr. Agha, renowned surgeons in endocrine surgery.

Klinikum Ingolstadt, as a regional focus provider, offers complex disease treatment. It hosts such information events four times a year, providing a platform for direct interaction between specialists and the public.
