Job Opening for Young Professional at ICAR-IARI, New Delhi

The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, has announced a walk-in interview for the post of Young Professional-II (YP-II) under the PPV & FRA funded project "DUS Centre for Lemon and Pummelo."

Position Details

The position is temporary and contractual, with a consolidated monthly pay of Rs. 42,000. The Young Professional-II will be expected to work on research-related activities, including crop raising, biochemical, and molecular work related to seed testing and plant breeding.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in relevant subjects such as Agriculture Science, Seed Science and Technology, Genetics, Plant Breeding, Life Sciences, Plant Physiology, Plant Biochemistry, or Plant Biotechnology. Preferably, they should have working experience in crop raising, seed testing, biochemical, and molecular techniques, including biochemical and HPLC methods, as well as data analysis and computer skills.

For the Young Professional-I post, the essential qualification is an M.Sc. in Horticulture, and the desirable qualification is an M.Sc. in Horticulture (Fruit Science) with thesis work on fruit crops. The maximum age for men applying for the Young Professional-I post is 35 years, and for women, it is 40 years.

Candidates should report by 9:30 AM, as those reporting after 10:30 AM will not be considered. On the day of the interview, candidates should bring original documents for verification.
