The Giessen Seniors Fair 2025 is set to take place on Saturday, October 11, at the Congress Hall. The event, themed 'Growing Older Together - Informed, Engaged, and Active', aims to provide suitable offers for older people, ensuring their dignity and right to a self-determined life. Admission is free, and the fair is fully accessible with sign language interpretation available.
The fair will kick off with an opening ceremony led by Social Affairs Commissioner Francesco Arman and the Giessen Senior Choir. Organised by the 'Round Table - Aging in Giessen', the fair focuses on promoting a new culture of aging and providing a diverse representation of this stage of life.
Visitors can expect an exhibition featuring local providers offering services on health, leisure, care, daily living assistance, safety, and inheritance. The 'Street of Engagement' will showcase local initiatives and associations, inviting seniors to participate in their offers. An exciting framework program will include dance classes and refreshments in the bistro. Additionally, the fair will offer opportunities for visitors to maintain independence and mobility, such as repairs at the Repair Café and tips for using a rollator.
The Giessen Seniors Fair 2025, running from 10 am to 4 pm, promises to be an inclusive and engaging event for seniors, their relatives, and interested parties. With a wide range of services, activities, and support, the fair aims to empower older people to live independently and actively.
