In addition to patient retention, the retreats will also focus on advancing the employee experience and partner experience. Hospital and health system leaders are focusing on balancing consumer-centric processes with a volatile job market, and the retreats will include sessions on recruitment, retention, and growth strategies for staff.

Allegheny Health Network is investing in technology to reduce rote work and prioritizing resources for patient experience, analytics, clinical integration, government advocacy, and payer alignment. They are also transitioning from a vertical, siloed management approach to a horizontal one, fostering a more collaborative environment.

To prepare physicians and staff for increased virtual care, Allegheny Health Network has implemented an internal "webside" training initiative. Stanford Health Care, meanwhile, maintains a public website to explain potential payer contract terminations to patients in advance, demonstrating their commitment to transparency.

Nebraska Medicine will review its strategies for adjusting job descriptions, providing performance scorecards, and offering training to revenue cycle teams. They will share their insights on how these strategies have impacted their operations and patient care.

The retreats will also feature sessions on dealing with denials and potential revenue losses, providing valuable insights for healthcare institutions grappling with these challenges.
