In the festive season from December 28, 2021, to January 9, 2022, the city of Neuss, located in North Rhine-Westphalia, followed the state's Corona regulations. These regulations applied to swimming pools, ice rinks, and wellness facilities.

For immunized individuals and children of school age, access to these facilities required proof of full vaccination, recovery, or a negative rapid Corona test. A notable exception was during sports and swimming activities, where masks were not worn, and thus, a negative rapid test result was also mandatory.

Young people aged 16 and above were treated similarly to adults in terms of these regulations. The regulations for this age group were the same as those for adults.

For children from school age to 15 years, the regulations were equally stringent. They were required to provide proof of full vaccination, recovery, or a negative Corona rapid test to visit the facilities.

Starting from December 28, the city's swimming pools, ice rink, and wellness facilities required the 2G+ rule. This meant that immunized individuals must provide a current negative rapid test result, not older than 24 hours, in addition to their vaccination or recovery status.

Throughout the health-and-wellness facilities in Neuss, such as swimming pools and ice rinks, immunized individuals and children of school age were required to follow the 2G+ rule from December 28, 2021, to January 9, 2022. This rule demanded they present proof of full vaccination, recovery, or a negative rapid Corona test, along with a current negative rapid test result, not older than 24 hours. Within sports and fitness-and-exercise activities, masks weren't worn, and participants were also mandated to have a negative rapid test result.
