The Epic Flights of Stephen Graham: Emergency Surgery 30,000 Feet Above the Ground
Emergency surgery performed on Stephen Graham mid-flight.
Brace yourself for a nail-biting tale from 10,000 meters up: Steve Graham, the Brit famous for his Netflix series, "Adolescence," underwent an emergency mid-air surgery! Recently on "Late Night with Seth Meyers," Graham spilled the beans about his harrowing flight experience.
So it wasn't all glitz and glamour on this transatlantic journey. "It was downright terrifying," Graham confessed to his host. In the past, Graham had undergone a minor procedure to tackle his urinary problems, but boy, did things take a turn for the worse on this flight!
The Shock in the Aviatory Throne
The nightmare started in the lavatory. "I knock back the H2O like usual,dd and head to the washroom, when whammo! - I couldn't pee," Graham described the predicament. Initially, he chalked it up to sheer speculation, "I thought, maybe I just need more water, and BOOM! It'll happen eventually."
But the next trip to the bathroom turned into a living nightmare: "Suddenly, it started - but it wasn't wee. It was blood, raw and red." The blood flow was so heavy that it sent Graham into a full-blown panic attack. "I was drowning in the crimson sea," he recalls the eerie moments.
A Miraculous Coincidence
Just when all hope seemed lost, a twist of fate occurred: Graham remembered a selfie he had taken with a fan before takeoff - yep, he was a doctor! "Dr. Haji wanted a quick snap, and I was more than happy to oblige. It's not every day you meet a doctor, after all," recalled Graham. When things took a turn for the worse, he recalled this chance encounter and our boy Haji swooped in to save the day.
With a swift precipitation of events, Graham became a guinea pig for an in-flight surgery. The area was sterilized, and a catheter fetched from the emergency kit was used for the operation. "I dropped trou, lay on the couch and there he went, the magic man, digging around my nethers like a gold hunter in the California hills," Graham humorously remembered the peculiar moment.
The Denouement
As soon as the operation was done, Graham, the beautiful saviors, the crew and the good doctor took a commemorative selfie to mark the extraordinary occurrence at 10,000 meters. This event undoubtedly lands a spot in the hall of fame for Hollywood's most bizarre moments.
