Student at Brown University Leads Summer Food and Agriculture Events

Ben Underwood, a Brown University undergraduate, is making a significant contribution to the community this summer as a Community-Building Intern with Farm Fresh Rhode Island. The organisation, known for its focus on connecting community members with local agriculture, is collaborating with Brown University to organise a series of summer experiences.

One of these experiences, taking place at the North Kingstown Free Library, is being led by Ben Underwood. The event, aimed at connecting community members with local agriculture, includes gardening tips sharing, seasonal recipes demonstration, and more.

The event at North Kingstown Free Library is not just a standalone initiative. It is part of the summer experiences being led by Brown University and Farm Fresh Rhode Island, both in Providence and other locations.

Ben Underwood's events are not limited to the North Kingstown Free Library. As part of his role as a community education intern, he is leading multiple events near me this summer focused on community engagement and education around food and agriculture. In addition to the North Kingstown Free Library event, Ben Underwood is also leading a Brown and Providence summer experience event at the same location. This event is organised by Brown University in collaboration with Farm Fresh Rhode Island.

Farm Fresh Rhode Island is a local organisation that works tirelessly to connect Rhode Islanders with seasonal food and farming. Through events, like these, the organisation is helping to educate the community and foster a deeper appreciation for local agriculture.
