Celebrating New Earth's Infants of the Week
Yilin Li and Chenyu Sun, an IT specialist and accountant respectively, have recently expanded their family with the arrival of their newborn son, Jing-Fan Li. The couple, who moved to Kaarst, Germany in 2022, chose to immigrate in 2019, ten years after they first met in their hometown in Liaoning province, China.
Their journey to parenthood began during the winter months of 2023, when Angelina Dabek, Yilin's partner, discovered the first signs of pregnancy. The couple, who also share a Shiba Inu dog named Seven, decided to prepare for the upcoming addition to their family, making the most of their outings and shared experiences.
Initially, the couple had chosen the Lukaskrankenhaus delivery clinic, due to positive experiences shared by friends. However, they later opted for the Johanna Etienne Hospital, where Jing-Fan was born on August 11, 2023. At birth, Jing-Fan measured 53 centimeters and weighed a healthy 3,490 grams.
Angelina, who was a kindergarten teacher, had a job ban during her pregnancy. Despite feeling constantly tired, she described the experience as incredible and indescribable. Father Sven, who works for an undisclosed company, has taken the first month off to fully enjoy the time as a new family.
In their free time, Yilin and Chenyu enjoy hiking together, often choosing the mountains for their peaceful surroundings. Chenyu, who works as an accountant for a large pet food company, and Yilin, an IT specialist for a communications technology manufacturer, are now adjusting to their new roles as parents.
The couple's newborn, Jing-Fan, is described as calm and relaxed, much like the couple's Shiba Inu, Seven. As they navigate this new chapter in their lives, Yilin, Chenyu, and Jing-Fan are looking forward to many more adventures together.
