Car crash leaves motorcyclist and Sozia in hospital
Yesterday afternoon, a traffic accident occurred on Blumberger Damm in Marzahn, involving a motorcyclist, his passenger, and a Mitsubishi.
The incident took place around 14:40, and the Blumberger Damm was closed between Eisenacher Street and Kienbergstraße from around 15:00 to 15:30 due to the accident.
The motorcyclist sustained injuries to his torso, and his passenger suffered a head injury. Both were taken to a hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 37-year-old woman, turned left towards a parking lot of a park, failing to notice the oncoming motorcyclist. As a result, the motorcyclist collided with the Mitsubishi.
The investigation into the accident has been taken over by a specialist commission of the Direktion 3 (East). No updates on the conditions of the motorcyclist, his passenger, or the driver of the Mitsubishi have been released as of August 26, 2025.
