Blood Donations Surge in 2025: Over 47,000 Donations Recorded
Blood donation has seen a significant surge in 2025, with over 47,000 voluntary donations recorded. Whole blood and plasma donations have been the most frequent, while platelet donations have also contributed to the total.
The Stefan-Morsch-Stiftung, Germany's first stem cell donor registry based in Birkenfeld, Rhineland-Palatinate, has been instrumental in promoting blood donation awareness.
