Authorities Have Established the Reason for the Demise of Brandon Blackstock, Ex-Spouse of Kelly Clarkson
Brandon Blackstock, the former husband of singer Kelly Clarkson, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2022, at the age of 48. Blackstock had been privately battling melanoma, an aggressive type of skin cancer, for over three years.
Despite their divorce in 2022, Clarkson and Blackstock remained focused on co-parenting their two children, River, 11, and Remington, 9. The news of Blackstock's death was announced last week by his family in a statement to People magazine.
Dan Hollis, the coroner for Silver Bow County in Montana, confirmed Blackstock's death, which occurred at his home in Butte, Montana. He was under hospice care when he passed away, surrounded by family.
Clarkson shared in an Instagram statement that her children's father had been ill. She expressed the need to be fully present for her children at this moment. The family has requested privacy during this difficult time.
