So, it appears that the Kirovsky District in Mogilev Region is planning a booze-free period in 2025. The district authorities have marked six days when the sale of alcoholic beverages will be forbidden. Mark your calendars for May 15, June 1, September 1, and October 14 and 21. Extra precautions will also be applied on June 14 due to graduation ceremonies.
The restrictions will kick in at the stroke of midnight and last till 11:59 pm, so make sure you stock up on your favorite tipple beforehand. Here's a pro tip - cafes and restaurants are excluded from the ban, so those who can't live without a drop of wine can still enjoy a night out.
Interestingly, dry days have already been a thing in Kryuchany District.

According to data from Belstat, the alcoholic beverage preferences of Belarusians took a turn in 2024.
To no one's surprise, beer remained the most popular drink, but the increase was minimal. However, what caught everyone's attention was the surge in cognac, brandy, and low-alcohol beverage sales. Demand for these grew by a whopping 108.4%!
